乐龄关护基金 (ElderFund)
A monthly cash payout for severely disabled Singaporeans who have low MediSave balances and inadequate personal savings to cover their long-term care costs.
What is ElderFund?
ElderFund is a discretionary assistance scheme administered by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). It provides monthly cash payouts to:
- Older Singapore Citizens aged 30 and above
- Who are severely disabled (unable to perform 3 or more Activities of Daily Living)
- Who have low MediSave balances and inadequate personal savings
- Who are not eligible for CareShield Life, ElderShield, or IDAPE
Note: You must not be a recipient of CareShield Life, ElderShield (or its successor), or the IDAPE scheme to qualify for ElderFund.

Up to $250 per month in cash for as long as you remain severely disabled

- Medical consumables
- Home care services
- Transport to medical appointments
- Other care-related expenses
Am I Eligible?
You may be eligible for ElderFund if you meet ALL of the following criteria:
aged 30 and above
Unable to perform 3 or more Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Insufficient MediSave to cover long-term care needs
Unable to afford long-term care costs
You must not be a recipient of these schemes
Note: If you are currently on ElderShield (or its successor) or IDAPE scheme, you should check with your insurer on the upgrade options to CareShield Life.
How to Apply
You can apply for ElderFund through the following steps:

Submit Application
Apply via AIC eServices using your Singpass (or call AIC hotline).

Arrange Assessment
Schedule a disability assessment with a MOH-accredited assessor. Those staying in nursing homes can use the Resident's Assessment Form (RAF).

AIC Review
AIC will review your application and assess your eligibility based on your financial situation and disability.

Receive Payout
If approved, you will receive monthly cash payouts via standing instructions to your bank account.

How is the payout credited?
Payouts are credited monthly to your designated bank account via GIRO.
